I'm a Congolese software engineer based in Sud-Kivu, DR Congo, with four years of experience building and owning production data systems from problem definition through to deployment and ongoing support. I work primarily in Python, Django, and React, and deploy on AWS using Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
My most significant work is OpenCarenet CHE — now the community-level data-collection tool deployed across Burundi, capturing primary health data in the field and aggregating it to the national health database (DHIS2). The system was officially piloted by Burundi's Ministry of Public Health, which formally recommended national scale-up, and the national telecom regulator authorised free mobile data access given its community impact.
I embed directly with users — field staff, health workers, domain experts — translating their needs into reliable software. I thrive in low-resource, high-ambiguity environments where systems must work when connectivity doesn't. End-to-end ownership is how I work: defining the problem, building the solution, shipping it, and staying engaged with the people who rely on it.
